N'Fungola Sibo “This is my dream” African Dance and Drum Company, Inc. (NSIBO), was established as a local, nonprofit, black women-owned organization by Mikeall “Myienie” Caesar in 1997. She inaugurated the historic 3-days conference/festival New Orleans Music & Dance Specular (NOMAADS) in 2022. Now approaching its 3rd annual. A native of New Orleans (The Big Easy), Louisiana she exemplifies it’s many natural rich cultures. She’s earned certification from the Republic of Guinea with a concentration in Guinea artistic and cultural national heritage.
Directed by her vision, NSIBO specifically express traditional West African rhythms from Guinea, Mali and Senegal through authentic instruments, dance, song, folklore, and appearance. Sharing TRUE knowledge and love of African traditions and beliefs. Travels to Guinea, Conakry celebrating 10 years partnership with AWA Guinean Drums Organization.
